Our School Day

8.30am                                 Playground gates open

8.40am                                 Doors open – children should walk in, hang up their coat and go to their classroom (there will be a member of staff at each door to take any messages from parents)

8.45am                                 Lessons start promptly – gates and doors are closed after this time and any children arriving late must walk to the Main Entrance

8.40 – 9am                           Reading time – some children will read with an adult, some will read on their own, some will complete an Accelerated Reader quiz on a book they have read

9 – 9.15am                           Assembly – this will be either key stage or whole school, and will be on zoom (remote assemblies save time for learning) or in the hall

9.15 – 10.20am                    Phonics or English lessons for the whole school

10.20 – 10.35am                  Playtime for Key Stage 1, Year 3 and Year 6

11 – 11.15am                       Playtime for Year 4 and Year 5

Maths lessons take place during this session

11.30am – 12.30pm             Lunchtime for Year 1 and Year 2

11.50am – 12.45pm             Lunchtime for Year 3 and Year 6

12.15 – 1.15pm                    Lunchtime for Reception

12.25 – 1.20pm                    Lunchtime for Year 4 and Year 5 

Afternoon lessons cover the wider curriculum

3.15pm                                End of the school day
